Welcome to Lumi ("we," "our," or "us"). Lumi is an AI-powered dream journaling application developed by Arkite. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled responsibly.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through our third-party authentication provider (Clerk).
• Dream Journal Entries: The text content of the dreams you record within the app, including any titles, descriptions, tags, or notes you add.
• User Preferences: Settings and preferences you configure within the app, such as notification preferences and display settings.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics data about how you interact with the app, including screen views, feature usage, and session duration. This data is collected through PostHog and is used solely to improve the user experience.
• Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the Service, including device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your location data.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data.
• We do not collect financial or payment information directly — all purchases are handled through Apple's App Store via RevenueCat.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To generate AI-powered dream interpretations using your dream text entries. Dream content is sent to a third-party AI model provider (Google Gemini via OpenRouter) for analysis.
• To generate AI-powered dream imagery based on your dream descriptions.
• To identify recurring symbols, themes, and patterns across your dream journal.
• To send you optional notifications (e.g., dream recording reminders), which you can disable at any time.
• To analyze anonymized usage trends and improve app functionality.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

Lumi uses artificial intelligence to interpret your dreams. When you submit a dream for interpretation, the text content of your dream is sent to a third-party AI model (currently Google Gemini, accessed via OpenRouter) for processing. We do not store your dream content on third-party servers beyond what is necessary to generate the interpretation.

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management
• Convex — Real-time database for storing your dream entries
• OpenRouter (Google Gemini) — AI dream interpretation
• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management
• PostHog — Anonymized product analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing the use of your data.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your dream journal data is stored securely in our database (Convex). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. You may delete your dream entries at any time within the app. If you wish to delete your account entirely, please contact us at the email address below, and we will remove your data within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
